This portage is only 60m in length (or 100m depending where you load/unload at the downstream side) as marked on the Chrismar WCPP map. Over the years, every time I paddle through here I try to take the time and brush out the new post-fire regrowth from the 2016 fire. I did that this year, so the trail is easy to find and walk, and both ends are easy to spot from the water.

The portages between Jake and Mexican Hat are a mix of OK to Not Great thanks to the 2016 burn trees falling down. See photos for details.
