This portage is found on the south side of the creek as marked on this website, but it is shorter at only 250 m as marked on the Chrismar WCPP map. The undergrowth from the last forest fire is coming back thick and the lack of use makes it difficult to follow the trail in some sections. I cleaned up the trail and both entrances with a handsaw. I also marked the west entrance with tree blazes and the east side with orange flagging tape. If you are heading east to Olive Lake, be warned that this creek is thick with willow/tag alder that has grown over the creek.
