When paddling east, I had trouble finding the start of this portage, so I just rock hopped up the dry creek until I couldn't. I then just cut north into the bush and found the trail and followed it to the east side. I walked back on the portage and cleared it with a handsaw and marked it with orange flagging. The west side is in another branch of the creek that was dry in 2025. Normally you can paddle it. This portage was the easier part of my day. The creek east of here really dries up. Many sections of pulling through mud. Paddle this in a much wetter year.
