When paddling downstream I got out on the west side and found the old portage completely blocked with downed burned trees. To get around the rapids falls, I paddled further downstream into the eddy just above the rapids/falls on river right. Get out just above the fast water on the rock slab and portage over the 20m to the downstream side. I did it during normal water levels, so this might be tricky during flooding.
