Matt Long is correct...after you start the portage around the falls, there is an access point to the stream. You can continue portaging to the lake but the trail grows thick and is long. As long as the current is medium to low, you can paddle the river and thru the small water feature no problem. We also paddled up it all the way to the top.

Straightforward, easy to find. Measured at 350m. Lodges keep this portage opened up.

Well used path and easy to follow. If heading downstream to Donald, take the shorter option to run the lower set of rapids mid-way through the portage. Fast water...nothing difficult.
