I travelled through here again in 2026, and found this portage clear of big trees, so the Park crews must have been through here recently with chainsaws. I found the southeast half of the portage overgrown with low hanging alder and moose maple that is growing back thick from the last forest fire. So I took the time to brush it back so you can see the trail in front of you. Much better now.
