The route from Sunbeam lake to Vanishing Pond to Bluejay to Little Doe Lake is a tough slog. Between Vanishing Pond and Bluejay the route is nothing more than a Beaver Canal with a million switchbacks and beaver dams. During the mid to late summer the water level must get pretty low, as we had to exit the canoe many time to move over or around obstacles. In addition the Dragonflies were terrible. Avoid this route if at all possible.
