Wabakimi Portage 32092

We did an Eddy and tied up forward of the portage. We did ru. These rapids. Challenging tongue to get through and then work river left to avoid some other rocks. We figured we’d rub but did t at top end. We planned on eddying river left by a tree we could see down below but when we got to that point it wasn’t an option. We paddled left around a rock at end which we should have stayed right on. Went through a chute we didn’t really fit through and slalomed shimmied off some rocks at end. Definitely some serious scratches in the IXP but canoe handled the impacts and we trusted the moves and forces we need to apply to get through. Some swifts below but we paddled through and then bilged out the water which wasn’t to full. Ran into another group as we exited and talked to them as we bilged out our water. Was a family in for 6 weeks and 2 friends in for 2 with them.
