Sturgeon Falls definite portage. Portage is through grass on right after take out. Someone had tape flagged it which helped us notice the path through the grass. Can out in further up above the really nice campsite which is in the portage. Or continue past. We put in just above the campsite and ran the rest of it past the campsite. Warning this portage in 2023 had wasps which stung my son 6 times coming through behind the canoe. Another group behind us had the same thing happen behind the canoe with a kid getting stung 5 times. Outfitter stated somebody else got hammered on this portage as well this year. My son had a major body allergic reaction with hives and redness in like 20 minutes and we had to do the Benadryl big dose. Never had breathing issues or we’d have had to evacuate. We camped on South side of Wabakimi lake that night since we took the nearest campsite.
