Had a devil of a time figuring this one out. Perhaps it had much to do with the high water. Portagedfrim Shawanabis to Onamakawash. Trek up to the tracks from Shawanabis required billy goat footing. Once on the tracks, we made our way west to the cabin portage. The rest was fine.

The portage is a clear path up to the rail line. The portage landing is next to a storage shed and the trail begins between and behind the two apparently abandoned cabins. Took us while to sort that out. Laurence Mill's maps (wabakimimaps.com) does show the two structures. We camped just below those cabins and fortunately, the squirrels running rampant didn't bother us. There's a big rock on the rail line, that's painted to say, "Schultz's Trail", but it shows up better when wet.
