Quite rocky and longer than we thought it would be. Otherwise a nice walk through the woods.

We didn't have the rods or the elevation coming into this portage, so the initial climb from Gabi was a surprise. Beautiful rocks and views along the way.

Not an overly taxing portage. Nice overlook of Gabimichigami just off the main trail. Was here in May 2009 and my legs were crawling with woodticks by the time I got to the Peter side. The hill on the Gabi end is rocky & can be wet & slippery.

Small climb but not bad. Rocky path and the landing site on the gabi side is not ideal - launch from a rock pile. The trail itself is quite beautiful due to recent fire exposing huge granite boulders along the way.
