Well this portage is unpleasant. I visited in the winter, but I cannot imagine the summer would make it any better. The landing is a straight vertical face. Once you summit, there are a couple old cut logs to remind you that there used to be a portage here. I don't know what the ground looks like beneath the snow, but most any trace of the portage through the brush is gone. There is a faint cut tree there, a worn spot here, but it is pretty much a bushwhack now. I made it through, and Trap Lake is pretty, but don't expect much of a portage.
