We did the entire sting of portages from Little Saganaga to River Lake, and this was our halfway point. It was a very muddy take-out going south, but this portage wasn't as difficult to follow as the one going from Pan to Anit, which was the absolute worst, because we weren't on the correct trail. All of these portages benefit from some reconnoitering to make sure the correct route has been identified. Don't go all in on the first seemingly-obvious path. If you get the sense that there is a better way, there probably is.
