after reading the few comments, perhaps we need some clarity on this portage as i myself was always confused as to why this map showed two separate portages. when coming from the north, when you get to the main portage landing, you have the option to carry from that spot, or you can cross over the damn right beside the main landing, make your way down stream, and start your carry at a spot a bit further down. this will also most likely require a short carry around some of the rapids. so 99% of people probably would not consider the extra effort to be worth it. but as others have said, this is fairly long with what can be a flooded length of trail (knee deep when i was there in 2024) with a steep decline down into the cirrus end. nice landing at cirrus. when water is low, you can walk up sue falls. it is quite nice up there if you can do that.

This is one portage, not two as labeled.

Muddy with steep uphill carry from south end past Sue Falls which is in the trees to the west. Ends in flooded trail with beaver dam at north end. Marsh paddling from there leads to Cole Lake.
