Lots of poison ivy along south side of trail on the west end and at the landing. The west side landing is simply terrible. Do-able, but really a pain. STRONGLY recommend taking the one long portage from Batchewaung to McAlpine instead of the three portages. The long portage, while long, is well used, easy to navigate, hardly any rocks or roots. So you can traverse it quickly. This portage and the other two are the opposite, especially the 105 rod portage (see my review of it).
