i did not have details on this portage. i was traveling west to east so the trail entrance was on the right side of the creek. i lost the trail but bushwhacked far enough to get beyond any road blocks in the creek so i could put in. it just happened that i put in right across from the proper trail exit on the other side of the creek. so it seems this map is accurate in that you have to cross from the south side of the creek, to the north side. funny enough there are two downed trees on the north side of the creek that form an "X". you can cross the creek around there and pick up the trail on the north side. the east end of the trail has a large cut log that would be tough to miss if looking for that end of the trail when coming from the east off of quetico lake. there is also a large marsh at the east end of this portage that you can paddle through in high water. in low water it may more be difficult to find the trail entrance i think.

Portage follows the creek, such as it is. We missed a jog and ended up bushwacking. A portage crew was behind us a few miles...so maybe they made it more clear.
