I've complete this portage twice (1995, 2019). Easy portage but not well traveled as I think most folks go over "Have a Smoke Portage." Most importantly, however, is that the South egress onto the portage is incorrectly located on PaddlePlanner, McKenzie, and Fisher maps. The South egress is actually located on the East side of the creek/stream--not the West side. Of course, the official Quetico Park map accurately marks the portage.

We missed the turnoff to Have a Smoke and got forced into this one. It was barely existent. We cleared brush, broke limbs, scraped moss and cursed a lot. Take a saw and machete if you want to do this one. The park map showed the portage on the other side but we didn't see it. Maybe the high water caused that.
