These two portages are actually a single portage. Starts east of the creek on the Pan end and then crosses the creek and goes west of the pond down to Anit.

Should be a straight forward but muddy portage. BEWARE the false/bushwhack portages along this entire string of portages!! Someone once missed finding the real trail and so made a new, very bad portage trail that is nearly impossible. If it seems ridiculously brushy, unmaintained and full of dead falls YOU ARE NOT ON THE RIGHT PORTAGE!! Go back and look a bit further down the shore or back up a ways - you passed it or it is further down but not far. There are also beavers active along this route. We had to wade thru long stretches of deep beaver ponds and cross a deep creek. Be wary and on your game here.
