Post-burn this portage was challenging - first one through in '25 and of course there was a lot of deadfall. Parts were little-affected by the fire & other parts were rough. Interestingly there is a stand of - believe it or not - Red Oaks that you walk through on this trail (they survived the fire). Had no idea there were any up that far north.

Well marked trail, a little mud but mainly downhill from Northwest.
