We used this trail coming back from Sarah. We used the creek trail on the way in and it took a lot longer than it should have due to having to negotiate about 6 small beaver dams along the way and some shallow areas we had to get out and guide the canoe through. This trail is confusing coming from the north, (trail goes west to east here). It starts at a sandy beach landing then drops down next to the creek and looks like a game trailthrough waist high soft grasses as it follows the creek for about 30 rods. It then goes into the woods where it looks like a regular portage trail for about another 30 rods, then goes back to a brushy trail on the other side, with bigger broad leaved bushes. It wasn't bad overall, but we used extra time to scout the route with our hand carry bags because the start seemed so unused.
