Portage is not too bad. It seems fairly well-used for a portage to a dead-end lake with no campsites. Still, it could use some maintenance. There were a couple of downed trees on the portage, but I could step over them. The Brule landing is decent. You can get fairly close to dry-footing that landing. The Echo landing is more difficult. There were a few logs and rocks blocking easy access to the landing.
