At the end of a long day, these last two portages shown on my map when traveling from Anchor to Sunday looked not too daunting. And in fact, this portage was much less than the 260m that was advertised. Yay! But then it got interesting. My map showed a pond, then another similar portage. Well, there is no pond in the middle as of 2025. There was a tiny amount of water at the end of the portage and a wall of cattails. Multiple channels no wider than a canoe - some less wide - snaked out of sight. I just guessed and hit one (far right/west). I can only hope they all end up in the same place...perhaps the remains of lost padders are found at the ends of the others. Regardless, my choice ended up allowing passage, but it is a bit of a maze for several hundred meters through channels in the vegetation.
