i wish i had taken notes at the time but when coming from quetico lake, if you go all the way into the little bay to where the grass starts (marsh in high water) then paddle back along the north shoreline, you will see the portage entrance. this map is pretty accurate. i do not recall having any problems on the trail.

It took a few minutes to find the Quetico end of the portage. I got out of the canoe once for what turned out to be a game trail that disappeared quickly in the bush. After paddling back along the shoreline, I found the start of the portage. The trail is visible at the tree line, but the landing area was a little overgrown and not entirely obvious from the water. The trail was also a little overgrown but clear of major obstacles and easy to follow. Lots of moose prints, no human tracks.

We could not find the Quetico end of this portage. Appears to be overgrown.
