The most important thing I would say about this portage is - don't take it if you don't care to. There is a paddle route to avoid this series of portages to get into lake one by heading east from the ep thru the small channel you can see on your map and come around back into the lake from the east end. You pass by a resort there. One disclaimer, there is a slim possibility if water levels are extremely low that the channel is too shallow - ask around first but we have never found this to be the case.
