The south end of the portage appears to be inaccessible by water. Fallen trees now block the creek. Easiest way to go appears to be to get out in the mud/grass on the west side south of the trees and walk carefully up that side before crossing the creek to the portage on the east side.

Not a difficult portage. Definitely doesn't see a ton of traffic compared to the numbers. Pretty slippery for us with a serious ice pack to break through on the Fire side.
