Fairly smooth, easy portage. Challenging only by its length. Easy to get in/out on the Rifle Lake side. A little more difficult on the Bridge Lake side. Coming from Bridge Lake, the portage is on the right side before getting into the more marshy area. In low water, we had to stop a bit short of the portage and carry across a short muddy, rooted area. After that, the portage is smooth.

Had a bit of a hard time finding the portage landing on Bridge lake. Decent length but this portage was it was in very good shape and not hard at all. I expected it to be more difficult. There is some elevation coming out of Bridge lake. Nothing too difficult. Standard put one foot in front of the other. Walk took about 12 mins from end to end with a full pack.

Surprisingly easy portage, comparatively speaking. Landings on both sides are sloping rocks but are large enough to handle a couple of canoes. There is a little bit of an elevation change, but the path is wide without many twists and turns.

Has some very steep parts where you nearly need to bring your knee up to your chest in order step up. Walk Carefully

Gradual rise and fall both directions. Has a muck pond at the south side that can't be avoided, wear boots.
