West side landing was very easy in high water - long rock shelf where you can park a few canoes at the same time to unload. Portage is unremarkable until you get to the east side. Very steep section at the end (going down from west to east). East landing can handle a couple of canoes; it is easiest to wetfoot on that side.

West Landing is extremely difficult in low water conditions. It's like playing "The Floor is Lava" except the carpet is muck up to four feet deep, and the furniture is boulders too far apart and to small to step one from the other.
