The downstream landing is on the same side of the river as site #1913 and there is a spur trail running to/from camp. Mercifully there is adequate terra firma on the east side of the riverbank as to accommodate the portage trail. Otherwise, this carry would be dramatically different if climbing around the steep walls of this gorge were necessary. As with many of the other portages along the Perent River, the trail has been improved (likely by those working in the logging camps years ago) and is exceedingly level & apart from being a bit brushy/weedy is free of overly bothersome hindrances. The landings on both ends may be a little mushy. This gorge is certainly one of the most scenic spots on the river.
