Probably the most technically challenging and scenic portage along the Perent River. The narrow & grassy downstream landing is on the north side of the river. Even though there are obvious signs of past improvements, this side of the portage has washed out over time and is boulder & gravel strewn. Like most other portages along this river, it is also brushy. Then the trail climbs significantly, fortunately the footing improves correspondingly. A similar subsequent descent down to a grassy/marshy landing on the other end that is right at the head of the rapids. So, you'll want to stick the landing if coming from up stream. I recommend taking some time to explore and enjoy the scenery on this one if you are able.
