This is marked incorrectly on Voyageur Map #9, where it is shown on the south side of the river. It is on the north side, in a stand of cedar with a sign for the Trans Canada Trail.

We were able to paddle through this portage on the way into the Pine River and then line our canoes back up through the rapids on the way out. The portage itself is rocky and buggy, but otherwise uneventful. 1/10

There is an 18 rod portage here but since we had good water levels were able to line our loaded canoes through the stream from Magnetic Lake to Pine River.

The portage is on the Canadian side. It is a gorgeous walk up and around Little Rock falls and is a pretty tough climb from the north. The south end makes it worthwhile with a sprawling rock face to bask in the sun above the falls. A Canadian hiking trail intersects the portage and continues on.
