Unlike the other rapids just upstream, this is not a good candidate for wading, since there is a waterfall along the route, not just rapids. There is a side trail to go to see it. There are multiple paths along this portage. They are all good enough, but the one further from the channel is slightly longer but definitely easier.

Short and sweet, plenty of room on the landings. There is a ~50' trail off to the left when landing from the east that takes you to a nice view of the rapids.

One of the landings is rocky, but it's an 8 rod portage! No issues.
