While west landing is closer to kitchen, the landing is terrible. East landing is alongside of nice sloping rock ledge. The sunny clearing is on small side with young trees . Kitchen has 3 log seating. Grate faces east, but west wind can reach it from behind--would have been better reversed. Three excellent tent pads, and at least 3 others to accommodate groups.

Site as described by other ratings. There is no water visible from the fire grate area. Great site for nudists.

We spent the Memorial Day weekend on this site in 2019. It was the last one open on the east side of the lake. This site has two landings, one on either side of the island. As noted on the other rating you can't see the fire grate from either landing. Best landing is on the east side. You will see several slopped rock under neath the cedar trees and a path leading up to the main body of the site. There are many flat tent pads so the site could accommodate a large group. The fire pit area had good seating. There was plenty of firewood around the site. One of the issues with this site is you don't really get a good view of the water from the fire pit area but for a cold Memorial Day weekend it kept us out of the wind fairly well. I would think this site could be buggy in the "bug months" without a good breeze but it served us well for this trip. The grandkids caught some fish from the east side landing on leeches and slip bobbers and we did some fishing up and down the channel and found a few more.

Nice island site with potential landings on either side of the island. Fire grate is not visible from the water as it is centered on the island between the landings. We had sunrise on one side, sunset on the other. Didn't catch anything from shore, but wasn't trying a ton as we had plenty of food. For her first time my Wife and Puppy loved just about all of it, except Hog Creek.
