BWCA Campsite 1048 on Pan

This campsite is slightly elevated above the lake and is similar to the other site on Pan Lake, though I consider this one marginally better. The landing is rocky but usable, and there is a very large grassy canoe storage area where you could also place a tent if necessary. There is a short climb up to the campsite, which sits roughly eight to ten feet above the water. The kitchen area has some shade from a large jack pine. The tent pad area is just beyond the kitchen and consists of a large grassy space where two tents would fit comfortably. Between the canoe storage area and the tent pad area, you could likely fit three tents. The site appears lightly used, with little charcoal in the fire grate.
