This is a good campsite on Hazel Lake. The landing is on a smooth rock point and is very easy to use. I was able to pull the canoe up alongside the rock and unload without issue.
The kitchen and fire grate are almost right on the water and have a great view of the lake. Jack pines overhang the kitchen slightly, providing some shade, and the site faces west, so I would expect a good breeze to help keep bugs down.
I found three good tent pads of varying sizes. Most are flat, level, and on dirt. You could likely fit an additional tent or two if needed. The tent pads are protected by trees, so they are less exposed to wind than the kitchen area.

Great site! I stayed here solo and had ample room. The fire grate location kinda sucks, but other than that I loved it. Great landing. Shallow, so use the wopper-flopper. I caught two bass in 15 minutes right before sundown. Had bevers and loons on the lake all evening. The next morning the fog was thick until about 8:30 AM. The wind was great. EXCELLENT views of the sunsets, FYI.

Nice sloped rock landing makes for a great waterside sunning spot. The fire grate has a great view of the water though the kitchen area is a bit cramped overall. The rest of the site is a mix of nice open areas and a few scrubby areas. When I was here, there were a fair amount of bugs crawling about, but nothing that gave me any real trouble since I hammock. I had no trouble finding a spot to hang the hammock among the cedars and enjoyed my night here on this quiet lake.

Wooded site with one good and two usable tent pads. We stayed at the campsite across the lake but came over to take a look at this one. The other campsite is the better one, but this would be a good site for a night or two. This is a 2.5-3 site.
