Maybe not the best campsite on horse, but not terrible by any means.
Pros: great elevated view of the lake, especially at sunrise. There are several flat spots that can hold a bunch of tents.
Cons: The landing is basically just one big rock which can be slippery. The fire grate also has a big hole in it, so if you're planning on cooking over a fire you'll have slightly less grill real estate. There aren't a ton of good spots to hang a hammock.
Other notes: We've had mixed luck with bugs at this site. One year there were barely any, and another we were getting lots of biting flies.

This site took some major storm damage from the 8/14/2020 storm. At least 3 major trees fell into the site. The occupants were spared, but the site is a mess of downed trees. Another group stayed here on 8/18/2020 as a site of last resort, so while functional is not a pretty site anymore.

A very open site. It gets a lot of sun with little shade. Great for early spring or fall trips. Landing is steep.

Nice site. Steep landing, grassy patch with a lot of dragonflies that keep the mosquitoes down. Two tent pads, one subject to flooding the other is on a rock. OK fishing from shore.

Very exposed site, little shade around fire grate.
