This campsite has a sandy beach landing tucked back into a west-facing bay. West winds can move through the site, but it's fairly well protected from north and south winds. Most of the tent pads are on sand, which makes staking possible, though stakes don't always feel very secure. I did find good spots for both a hammock and a tarp back in the trees. The kitchen area is set back behind a small stand of trees, which provides decent protection and made it a pleasant place to cook. The biggest downsides when I visited were chipmunks and bugs. The chipmunks were everywhere and clearly very used to people, and the bugs were especially bad the morning we left. That said, aside from those issues, this is a great campsite with at least three good tent pads and space for a fourth if needed.
