This is a huge, sprawling campsite. The landing is easy, with several places where I could pull up along smooth, flat rock, get out, and unload.
The kitchen sits out on a rock point, and the entire campsite spreads across that point with trails going in several directions. Jack pines line parts of the shore, but they do not block much of the view, so the site has excellent views all around.
Behind the kitchen, scattered cedar trees provide shade for many of the tent pads. I found five good tent pads and seven maximum tent pads. Several of the pads are large, flat areas back among the cedars, and there are also a couple of possible places for tents closer to the kitchen. The nearby cliffs are easy to explore from camp as well. This is an excellent site for a larger group because it has space, shade, flat tent pads, and great views.

very nice open, slightly tiered site, tent pads found at all levels, we were there early and my brother caught a laker off the rock near the landing, which is easy and sheltered. very nice sunset view from the kitchen. hiked around a bit but didn't get to the other site. we got another laker trolling by the north point of the camp side of the island. there is a reef east of the island towards the portage to Alice and another laker. The trout were all near the surface, ice was out late.

Great site with a western view. Nice level sleeping pad. Swimming just north of the site in the black sandy beach.

Best site we've stayed at in the BW. Huge site with a trail that goes up to a cliff overlooking Thomas. We wished we had more time to stay more than one night. Caught a decent-sized Northern casting from shore.
