The landing for this campsite is on the south side of the site, and it is very easy. There are actually two small sand and fine gravel landing spots, almost like two canoe garage stalls.
The campsite itself is very open and sits on a rock ledge about six feet above the water. There is not much cover in the main site. A few small trees may provide some shade, but there are mostly young jack pines and birches around the open area, with spruce farther back behind camp. Since the site faces west, it may get morning shade, but by afternoon I would expect a lot of sun.
Much of the campsite is rocky, rooty, and uneven, so tenting is limited. I found one good tent pad and three maximum tent pads. The good pad is a little behind the kitchen but still in the main camp area, and it is on gravel with only a slight slant. Another possible pad is down a trail along the cliffside, but it is lumpy, uneven, and rooty.
A third tent could fit somewhere else in the main area if needed. The view from the kitchen is very nice, with a wide look across the lake from the rock ledge.
