This is a pretty nice, open campsite tucked back in a bay. The kitchen area is pleasant and has a nice view. There are cedar trees along the shoreline, but they sit off to the side enough that they do not block the view. The kitchen itself is fairly open and does not have much shade, but there is shade available elsewhere in the site from trees off to the side.
The best and largest tent pads are back behind the kitchen down the latrine trail. There are a couple of very large tent areas there that can hold multiple tents. There are also a couple of places where tents could go closer to the kitchen area. Overall, I would call it four good tent pads and five maximum tent pads.
The worst part of the site is the landing. We had multiple canoes, and it became a bit of a circus trying to figure out where to land them. If you only have one or two canoes, it is probably manageable, but with more than that, it gets difficult. Even with one canoe, the landing is not especially easy because there are sharp rocks and shallow rocks to navigate around before you can get into the landing area.
Other than the landing, this is a good site, and I would not hesitate to take it if I needed it. I would say the site to the north is probably the better of the two, but this one is certainly a solid campsite as well.

Really nice campsite, tons of room if you are willing to spread out. We had 9 people in 6 tents and one with a hammock and it was not cramped. Really neat little swimming bay where the canoe landing is. Vera seems like it should be a great walleye lake but we were here at a huge mayfly hatch and caught one nice fish all week. Bugs were hit or miss, but lots of tall grass/weeds and a very wet season this year, but it could have been worse.

Pretty cool site, open with a great view. Sometimes the wind doesn't come through when you want, and bugs can be an issue. Great western view for epic sunsets though. Nice site.

Pretty nice site, but, then again, we didn't make it here until 8:30 pm (anything is good at that point.) The site is actually located in the corner, not on the point. The camp is built on a bit of a rock face and has an awesome view of the sunset. It's weird because there is almost a second site attached to it about 100 ft to the SW where a big exposed rock provides a canopy opening in the trees. Pretty nice site all in all.
