The location of this site is incorrect on most paper maps, but correct on this website. We had a group of 6 people with 4 tents, so this ended up being one of the more comfortable sites for us. It's wide open in the middle, with a line of trees right at the water's edge. The views were nice from the take-outs. There was no shade over the kitchen and most of the central area of the site except at sunrise and sunset, but that worked out okay. A lot of the central area has numerous small rocks, but there are still plenty of tent pads, including a couple sheltered by cedar trees. The fire grate is broken (how does that happen?), but we made it work with strategic pot and fire placement. The fire grate has a huge rock pile around it, almost like an altar. Folks have even plugged up the gaps with dirt, so not much air gets into the fire grate itself. There was another low rock wall that seemed to have no purpose over near where we set up a couple hammocks (not visible in the pictures). There were other groupings of rocks that seemed eerily religious/spiritual in their arrangement. A large number small trees have been cut down in the adjacent grove (see picture). Obviously folks have had a lot of time on their hands at this site. So much for Leave No Trace. There are good trees for hanging bear bags, and plenty of spots for hammocks, including close to the edge of the lake. One take-out is a little deeper and closer to the kitchen. The larger take-out is more shallow, but there is more room for boat storage there. Neither is particular good for swimming. Nice sunset view.

Huge, open site with a "privacy screen." There are two landings, both small rock/gravel. Grass covers the site, which is a little unusual in the area. Many tent pads in the open or or under the cedars.
