Original 2014 Comment: Stopped here for lunch and was very impressed with the views from this site. It's a bit tough to dock / launch being steep access. UPDATE 2022: This site has been greatly affected by the 2016 wildfires - just as this whole area has. The good news is that this is likely the best site available and even has a few unburned trees to shelter. See updated photos. We did spend some time cleaning it up to fit our 3 tents.

Site is burned and covered with downed trees. Kitchen area still clear and it would appear the site could be reclaimed with major chain saw work.

Good landing on the east side (between the islands). Elevated site with great views. The tent spots are mostly sheltered, though there is one spot near the high point where you could catch some breeze
