I pulled in here with my boys for a quick overnight into the BWCA. We only had one night and this was our first time tripping without another adult. With forecasted NW winds for our day out, I didn't want to stray too far from the entry point and we found this site open. It was a very nice site! A sandy landing. It isn't a beach, but it was a gentle landing and would be nice for wading in for a swim in warmer weather. The site is slightly elevated with a good view of the water from the kitchen. Plenty of space for tents. Decent stargazing potential with views to the east and south, and a few rocks you can move to for a northern view. None of those spots are flat, but they are wide open to the sky. The only knock on the site for me is you won't have solitude during the day as people pass right in front of you. However, once that settles down for the day, you won't be able to see anyone's campfires or headlamps, so you feel further away from everyone than you actually are. You can't really expect solitude this close to an EP anyway, so that wasn't a dealbreaker for me on this trip.

Nice enough. Also shows the high traffic of this area. Good camp kitchen and a great landing. There's a good sized Jack Pine down on this site now. Pretty brushy behind the tent pads.
