Huge open site under a neat stand of red pines. A nice swimming hold with a narrow sandy beach. A very neat kitchen adjacent to a huge rock slab. Easy access to the point to the west under an open forest for sunsets, fishing, and exploration. I would stay here in a heartbeat. We were one campsite over to the east, but this was probably the slightly better site.

Probably my favorite site I've stayed at in the BWCA. Not the best canoe landing, but it wasn't a problem for our group. This site has a big rock landing which was great for stargazing and relaxing in the sun. The trees at this campsite are probably what makes this site so great. Many tall pines that work great for hanging tarps and hammocks. Fire pit is protected from the wind as well. Several nice flat tent pads. Called this campsite "Bro Island."

Great site, we had 2 tents but easily could have added another 2, the 4th could be 30 ft away to the west. There is a rock pile strait out about 100 yards that we got several walleye on the north edge. Site is used often so need to hike for any firewood.

We did not stay on this site but walked to it from the site to the east. Great site. Big and open under tall pines. Lots of ledge rock. Small sandy beach to land canoe or swim. Great views.

Large open site with great views of Clear lake. East access onto gently sloping smooth granite. No sand but still a good area for swimming. Nice fire grate ringed by log benches. Lots of pines for tarps and hammocks. Very nice site.
