Stayed here on the last night of our trip. It is mostly wide open with a panoramic view of Home Lake from the kitchen and sits in a grove of pines for the classic BWCA feel. It had some signs of abuse with trees cut and trash in the fire. We cleaned up the trash but I imagine the site sees some decent usage. We had very little luck fishing Home Lake despite circling the whole shoreline - only a couple small pike and a small walleye.

Really sprawling site that can handle a large group. Its achilles heel might be the swimming - the gentle slope of the slab the site sits upon is perfectly wrong...takes a long way to get deep, but perfectly smooth with enough angle that you just slide out on the algae, and then you can't get back onto land. But good kitchen area, nice shade...a lot to like here.
