I loved this site. It has many of the things I look for in a campsite: a good view, big white pines, cedar trees, shade, pine duff, and a strong overall feel.
The landing is below the site in a shallow rock and gravel area along some cedars. It is not exactly a parallel-parking landing, but it is not too bad to get out, unload, and pull the canoe in.
From the landing, you hike up to the campsite, which sits about 10 feet above the water. The kitchen is just a few feet from a 10- to 15-foot cliff, with an amazing view over this part of Sagus Lake.
Behind the kitchen are massive white pines and cedars, and that is where the tent pads are located. I found two really nice tent pads. One is excellent, and the other is still good, though it has some roots running through it. Both are covered in pine duff from the big white pines. There is also a nearly perfect hanging branch right next to the kitchen, about as ideal as I could ask for.
The tent pads should be shaded most of the day, and the kitchen should get a good amount of shade as well, though it may have sun in the later afternoon before becoming shaded again in the evening.

Very tight canoe landing in a nice grove of cedar trees which makes bringing canoe up for storage difficult as well. Tough climb up to elevated fire grate area. Very nice pine duffed main camping area. Site is elevated but, view of lake will soon be compromised by growing trees. Firewood fairly tough to come by near camp.

Very nice secluded campsite. Would have loved to stayed here for more than one night. We did however have a bear walk into our campsite at night and walk right out once we made some noise.
