Two of us spent our final night at this site in September 2022. This was the first time I'd ever camped at this site, and it was one of my favorite campsites in all the BWCA. The site is spacious with several flat areas for your tents. The landing is easy with a small beach of finely crushed rocks. Just north of that there is a second beach that is rockier, which is a perfect spot to sit and watch the sunset. The kitchen is large and well-elevated, and we enjoyed a nice cool breeze the evening we camped. There were several places to easily hang our bear bag. This is the perfect spot to camp your last night if you want a quick paddle out through Sag Channel, or if you're getting picked up by a tow at American Point.

Spacious! Amazing views and rocks to walk around the shore of the island and take in the vast views of Sag! Beautiful site, easy landing, great site.

Wonderful group campsite. Large open tent area protected by a large stand of pine. Great canoe beach landing area of small gravel next to a rocky point that you can fish from- great spot to watch the sunset. The inland area is very shallow and you can walk out quite some distance for some fishing. A built up fire area with seating logs on three sides of the fire - good for cooking. Decent latrine back in the tall pine. Would make a decent multi day spot for a large group.

This was a good site for us. We stayed here on the first day of our trip. We fought a tremendous headwind all the way across Sag, so it was good to settle into camp. We caught some good fish just off camp.

Very nice secluded spot on south side of island with nice cove to fish. Beautiful view of sunset.

We stayed on the North side of this island. Nice and shady, great beach area and downed tree that makes for a nice fishing dock. Biggest problem is latrine is probably shared with south side of island site.

Easy landing on the south side of island. Very pretty, and a nice campfire setup - elevated fire grate with seating logs around it. (there is also a site on the North end of this island, not shown on the website - only 1 good tent pad on the North side that we saw, and shady in the afternoon, we sought out sun on the South side.)
