I liked it until my back went out. Open site with water access on three sides. Guys caught lots of fish from camp. Someone built a fish holding pen on the south side under the trees. Nice ridge to see from to the west with firewood available beyond. A few good trees for tarps. A few large rocks to sit on as well. on the ridge I used my foot to point out blueberries and my back dropped me to the ground, I had to crawl off the ridge and then crawl backwards to the camp and lay in the tent the next 24 hours. was able to get up and move the next day but fortunate we had planned a short trip.

This is a 5 star site despite the prior opinions:
1) Grate is positioned well for views.
2) Easy, but somewhat hidden small lagoon landing.
3) Some grassy tent pads by lagoon landing.
4) Good fishing opportunities from camp.
5) Best latrine I have seen, but it is up over the rocky bald.

tough tent pads. long hike to the Thunder Dome. Great hammock spots, great kitchen, good fishing opportunity, but have never caught off camp.

Very wide open, grassy and rock bald. Very exposed. We saw a kid taking a dump on the rocks next to shore, and when I yelled out "the **itter is in the woods" a guy yelled back they couldn't find it. There IS a latrine on this site, but the trail to it is over the rock bald and not apparent. FIND THE LATRINE please, people! It is NOT shared between the two sites on this island. Each site has its own, it is just a long walk from this site.
