What a fantastic site. So much room and many good spots for ground and hammock tents. Great beach and landing area on the west side of the site. Big jumping rock on the island that it faces. Blueberries up the hill when in season. Great fire site, a couple options for tarps, and rocky outcroppings facing east and south.

This is a really nice site. We ended up staying for two days in a pretty steady rain, but the large rocks next to the kitchen allowed us to setup a pretty nice area under the tarp. There is plenty of room to explore around the back side of camp, which was nice since we were waylaid. The landing was easy and it was a large, open site with character. This is the site I would want to be on if severe weather ever started toppling trees - there is a huge fissure that would provide perfect cover. So I guess if severe weather is in your forecast, aim for Gillis?

Fantastic site - sandy landing/swimming area, plenty of room, beautiful rocky outcrop to watch the lake from. We used this as a base camp for 3 days.

Classic BWCAW campsite - rocks, views, beachy area, good landings, great kitchen.
Located on the south side of this peninsula (not north side as shown).

This is a very nice site with a small flat rock in front of the fire grate that was nice for using a stove. There is a nice rock table and a rock chair with a backrest. Nice flat rocks overlooking the lake that were great to stargaze from.

Great site. Large stone area overlooking lake, little bay for pulling up canoes. Area for at least 4 small tents, space for more. We had 3-4 hammocks strung up as well. Island adjacent with FANTASTIC cliff diving.
