Site located on high sand bank after portage around falls. Found historic overgrown firepit, had to trim back long grass, and alders to restore a couple tent pads. More could likely be carved out by further trimming back the alder growth (evidence that they had previously been cut back). Loads of pelicans hang out below the falls here. Site is ~5km north of the Mud River Station stop on the railway. Good spot to spend last night if catching the train out from here. Site may eventually erode away.
