i stayed one night in oct 2025 before exiting. water levels were a bit low so there was a decent shore landing to use. in higher water you may have to drag the canoe up the hill a bit in order to secure it. as mentioned previously, this site is elevated. there is a short trail leading up to the site. nice view of the bay. well protected from the weather. quite small. lots of firewood avail. lots of exposed rock to climb down if you want to fish off shore. small fire pit. there was a large widow maker hanging over the site which i assume has probably been there awhile. i was able tuck into a spot that kept me from being underneath. no bugs here in october. thats a bonus. i did check out the other site around the corner from this one but it was not usable due to the very strong winds coming into the bay that day. that site would also be usable for a night when entering or exiting if conditions allowed.

Scoped this out on the way in as a potential day-before-exit site. Did not see any way to get a second tent in however. Quite overgrown.

Other than being a very small campsite, I thought this was an awesome site. There was very thick vegetation, and we were able to squeeze both of our tents into the site. I don't remember there being a very good canoe landing, but the site was the perfect elevation for what I wanted (maybe 8 feet above the water). We stayed here on our last night of the trip before exiting Stanton Bay. We were pretty exhausted and did not fish.
